CISA Boot Camp

The CISA Boot Camp course prepares IT, audit, and security professionals for the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) exam, covering the objectives of the exam as defined by ISACA.  CISA candidates are expected to have a broad range of skills across audit and security management, as well as a technical understanding of a wide range of controls.  In this intensive five-day course, you will review the five core domains with a focus on preparing for the exam and gaining hands on knowledge that will be useful in the workplace.  Throughout the course there is an emphasis placed on sample exam questions as well as tips and pointers for taking the exam – all designed to help you successfully pass the exam.

Location: For details about the location of training and for a link to make hotel reservations under the group discount, please refer to a scheduled course link shown below.  If no link is visible, no public registration classes are available.  Contact us to discuss options for private training at your facility.

Course Style:  5 days - Instructor-led classroom.  This is an intensive, five-day course that earns 40 CPEs based on the standard 50-minute hour calculation used by many professional organizations.

Audience:  This course is designed for auditors and other professionals that are planning to take the CISA exam.  This course is also excellent for anyone in technology that wants to understand how auditors think and approach control environments; this knowledge will, in turn, help you identify control weaknesses in your environment, improve your internal controls proactively, and provide an immediate value-add to your organization.

Prerequisites:  There are no prerequisites for this course, although several years of experience in Auditing and Security are extremely useful.  IntelliGRACS Group recommends taking this training course 2-4 weeks prior to the exam rather than the week of the exam.  While content areas of the exam will be covered in detail during the course, additional study outside of class is required.  Taking the course a few weeks prior to the exam allows the student to get thoroughly immersed in the material, identify areas that need additional study, and still have time to review and complete the extra study required to pass the exam.

Course Content:  The following topics reflect the requirements of the five domains covered on the CISA exam:

  • Domain 1 – The Process of Auditing Information Systems (14 percent)—Provide audit services in accordance with IT audit standards to assist the organization with protecting and controlling information systems.
  • Domain 2 – Governance and Management of IT (14 percent)—Provide assurance that the necessary leadership and organizational structures and processes are in place to achieve objectives and to support the organization’s strategy.
